Besides the visual observation of meteors, OGVT operates a radio meteor observation station. The Radio meteor scatter method is an ideal technique for continuously observing meteors. Meteor trails can reflect radio waves from distant transmitters (like Radars, etc.), so when a meteor appears one can receive a small part of the origin signal of the sending radio station. We are listening to the 143.050 MHz signal of the French GRAVES Radar.

Bright, vertical lines are echoes of meteorites, the long-drawn, dashed, horizontal lines are radar echoes of aircraft. The data is updated every five minutes.
